KUALA LUMPUR: The stunning Els Club Desaru Coast hosted the fourth Tourism Johor Golf Tournament for 166 golfers recently.
Organised by Johor Golf Tourism Association (JGTA), the tournament raised RM1,121,500 for the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation.
Among the donors were Qul Holdings (RM100,000), Tenaga Nasional Bhd (RM20,000) and GTMed (M5,001).
A mock cheque for RM1,121,500 was presented by Col. Mohd Jamal Salleh, President of JGTA, to Tunku Abu Bakar Alhaj ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Putera Johor, on behalf of Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation.
Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar graced the royal luncheon and prize presentation that was attended by about 220 participants, partners, sponsors and dignitaries.
The tournament was held at two highly-rated golf courses: the Ocean Course and the championship Valley Course due to the overwhelming number of participants.
