MGA to host charity golf event for Ramayah

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) together with PGM Tour and the National Athletes Welfare Foundation (Yakeb) will organise a charity golf event for M. Ramayah.

The event will take place at The Mines Golf Resort on March 18, with all proceeds going to Ramayah, who is suffering from cancer.

Ramayah has been a fixture in the local golf community for many years and has provided countless hours of coaching and instruction to aspiring golfers. Unfortunately, he has recently fallen ill and is in need of financial assistance.

"We are deeply saddened by Ramayah's situation.

"The charity golf event is a way for the community to rally around him and show support during this challenging time," said MGA honorary secretary Datuk Zulkifli Ismail in a statement.

The charity golf event will include 18 holes of golf with light lunch and dinner.

Participants can register as individuals or teams, with all profits going to support the pro.

"We are grateful to the golf course and all of our sponsors for their support of this event."

"We hope that the community will come out in force to show their support for Ramayah and help us raise the funds needed to assist him."

Registration for the charity golf event is now open and interested participants can download the entry form at www.mgaonline.com.my or in-person at MGA's office.

The registration fee is RM800 per participant and RM3000.00 per flight and includes green fee, buggy and caddy fee, insurance, light lunch and dinner. The registration deadline is March 16.
