No new Covid-19 cases in Cambodia for last seven days

THERE were no new Covid-19 cases detected in Cambodia for the last seven days.

According to the Khmer Times, prime minister, Hun Sen who announced this, said it was a big success following the participation of all the people in the fight against the pandemic.

He reminded the people to continue being vigilant and abide by all health and safety rules.

"Please also receive your Covid-10 booster shots as soon as possible," he said.

The prime minister reiterated the importance of vaccinations and stressed that it will help ensure sustainability of the recovery process.

"This in turn will help boost economic growth, improve the people's living standards and alleviate poverty," he said.

Hun Sen also reaffirmed that there was no lack of vaccines in Cambodia, thanks to the remaining vaccine stocks.

"There have also been successive donations from China, the United States and other countries," he said.

He said US president, Joe Biden has pledged more vaccine supply to Cambodia as well as in the Asean framework.

Hun Sen will leave the US today after attending the Asean-US Special Summit which was held yesterday afternoon.
