OIC condemns Israeli killing of Jerusalem teen, prisoner death

JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia: The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemns the Israeli Defence Forces' crimes against Palestinians, the latest being the assassination of 16-year-old Jerusalem boy, Omar Abu Asab.

The killing is a dangerous escalation in the tempo of Israeli violence and ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people.

The OIC also condemns the policy of medical neglect, which led to the martyrdom of Palestinian prisoner, Sami Amour, in Israeli occupation prison, regarding it a result of medical neglect and inhumane treatment of Palestinian prisoners.

The OIC holds the Israeli authorities fully responsible for the repercussions of these crimes, which call for accountability and punishment.

Furthermore, the OIC calls on the United Nations and relevant international bodies to constitute an investigative committee to look into the circumstances of Sami Amour and Abu Asab's murder.

The OIC calls for intervention to save the lives of the Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike and guarantee their freedom and dignity.
