KUALA LUMPUR: The former Treasury secretary general Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah is no longer on the board of directors of Bank Negara Malaysia with effect from May 14, 2018.
The central bank, today in a statement, announced this was because he had ceased to hold the office of Treasury secretary general, from that date.
His appointment as member of the Bank Negara board of directors was by virtue of him holding office at the Treasury.
Following this, Bank Negara board members has reduced to nine. Of the total directors, executive staff are Bank Negara governor Tan Sri Muhammad Ibrahim, deputy governors Abdul Rasheed Abdul Ghaffour and Jessica Chew Cheng Lian.
The remaining six are Datuk N. Sadasivan Pillay, Tan Sri Dr Sulaiman Mahbob, Chin Kwai Yoong, Tan Sri Siti Norma Yaakob, Datuk Seri Lim Haw Kuang and Wee Hoe Soon.
