It will be Vixx’s second visit to Malaysia

TOP male K-Pop group Vixx will be reaching our shores on July 27, and it is largely due to the tireless effort of its fans.

A few months ago, online live event-making platform MyMusicTaste called on K-Pop fans in Southeast Asia to submit requests for the concert of their favourite artiste.

Vixx, a six-man group, received more than 53,000 votes from Starlights (a name Vixx fans call themselves), who wished for the group to perform in their cities.

As promised, the online platform approached the group’s talent agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, to organise a special fanmeet tour.

Vixx will first stop in Kuala Lumpur, with the fan-meet set to be held at KL Live in Jalan Sultan Ismail. They will drop by Jakarta on July 29 and Bangkok the following day.

Tickets are priced at RM800, RM560 and RM320. Each ticket category comes with a group photo or high-touch (high-five) opportunity, and a chance to enter a lucky draw.

To participate in the lucky draw, you must purchase your ticket by July 20. Winners will be announced the following day.

This fan-meet will mark the group’s second time to Malaysia, the first being in November 2012 when they performed at 8TV’s Shout Awards and held a fan-meet.

Vixx debuted in May 2012 and comprise members N, Hongbin, Ravi, Ken, Leo and Hyuk.

It has been praised by critics for its musical perfection and synchronised choreography.

It has received three consecutive Golden Disk Awards, one of South Korea’s most prestigious music awards.

Vixx’s popularity has grown exponentially, especially after establishing their on-stage presence with daring concepts not typically associated with K-Pop groups, such as vampires, cyborgs and voodoo dolls.

Last year, the group garnered international recognition with their sixth mini album Hades, which ranked fifth on Billboard’s World Digital Songs Chart.

Its latest mini album Kratos was highly praised and secured a spot on Billboard’s Social 50 Chart.

Its title track The Closer became an international hit, scoring No. 14 on Billboard’s World Digital Songs Chart last year.
