“THERE no such thing as an ‘old hero’,” said actor Datuk Rosyam Nor when asked to comment on his role in the currently-showing action flick KL Special Force.

Rosyam, 51, said in jest that whoever said that did not understand what the term “hero” meant.

He has been applauded by many for carrying out his own stunts in the blockbuster directed by young filmmaker Syafiq Yusof.

“I am grateful that at this age, I have been given the opportunity to play the lead role and work with a much younger cast.

“The movie has raked in more than RM6 million at the box office in a week. This shows that a film’s success does not only rely on the cast, but also the strength of the story and the production,” he said at the set of cybertech action thriller Proksi in Kuala Lumpur recently.

While KL Special Force sees Rosyam playing the leader of a special force unit, in Proksi, he takes on a role that does not involve much action, but has to display a lot of emotion.

“Most of my scenes in this film are inside an interrogation room. So it is a challenge for me to work on my body language and facial expressions to create the intense emotion needed for the scenes.”
