KUALA LUMPUR: Although actress Fathia Latiff has been advised to seek professional medical help to determine whether she actually suffers from bipolar disorder, the actress simply refuses to do so.

In a news report yesterday, the 31-year-old Penang-born actress revealed that despite the advice, she would be the best judge to know the level of her own mental and health condition.

“I’ve been asked by doctors to go for further checks and to get treatment for the condition, but I have concluded that I don’t need to do so.

“I’m still capable of managing myself, so no thank you,” she said.

Earlier last week, social media was abuzz when a viral video of a short-haired woman looking like her, but without a headscarf, was seen singing at an entertainment outlet.

Fathia who started 2019 with a resolution to start the new year afresh, after courting several controversies last year, said that she could only apologise to her fans whenever a new controversy crops up.

“But if people think that I’m not sincere whenever make an apology, there’s nothing I can do to stop them from having that opinion about me,” she said.
