KUALA LUMPUR: M. Mahisri, who was crowned Mrs Malaysia Asia Pacific recently, has been chosen to represent Malaysia at the Mrs Asia Pacific International 2019 pageant in Johor Baru next month.
Mahisri, who works as an IT engineer in Singapore, had also clinched the 'Queen of Substance' and 'Mrs Classic' subsidiary crowns during the national-level pageant held on Nov 10 last year.
The 28-year-old beauty queen will compete against 33 other contestants from various countries during the international pageant on May 18.
"She also does charity work on a regular basis. She visits the Sherun old folks home in Johor Baru every month to not only support but also make contributions to the residents," said the organiser of the local pageant in a statement recently.
"She is also a freelance make-up artist who provides free classes to single mothers in an effort to improve their livelihoods and help them start their own businesses," the statement read.
She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
