PETALING JAYA: Popular singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza will not hesitate to take legal action against Netizens who “cross the line”.
She said that all this while, she would just block suspicious social media accounts and those who constantly make negative and unnecessary remarks on social media platforms.
“Nowadays, when I come across ‘haters’, I would just block them straight away.
“Those are obviously not fans. Besides, the accounts seemed suspicious as if they were created with an aim to slander artistes.
“But there have been instances when I get comments which can be damaging to my reputation. Don’t cross the line, I will not think twice to file for a lawsuit against irresponsible individuals,” said the 40-year-old songstress when met at the launch of Simplysiti Di Hati 2019 campaign at New World Hotel here today.
Siti said that she could no longer turn a blind eye towards malicious statements and lies against her on social media.
Last month, her manager and sister-in-law Rozi Abdul Razak had shared on her Instagram that Siti might consider opting for legal action too after seeing how actress Jasmin Hamid had done so with three Netizens who had ridiculed her 32-year-old adopted daughter Rohana Abd. Hamid openly on social media for her physique and mannerism.
