KUALA LUMPUR: Due to the seriousness of the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, the Kenny G Concert Live In Malaysia 2020 and Miriam Yeung My Beautiful Live World Tour have been postponed.
Concert organiser Star Planet in a statement today said that the concerts scheduled on Feb 16 (Kenny G) and March 21 (Miriam Yeung) had to be held at later dates to protect the health and safety of the artistes, performers, patrons and production crew.
"After much consideration, we have come into mutual agreements with the respective artiste managements to postpone the Malaysia gigs. This decision has been reached in response to the health authorities and worldwide efforts in taking preventative measures to curb and contain the escalating coronavirus epidemic.
"Besides, the travel restrictions put in place have caused unforseen impacts on global logistics affecting the planning of equipment shipping. Tighter flight and immigration restrictions have also affected the travel schedule of some of the Kenny G concert crew members.
"We express our apologies to fans for the event postponements," Star Planet said.
"The rescheduled dates will be announced at a later date. Venues are expected to remain unchanged. All tickets already purchased will remain valid after the postponement."
Fans are advised to keep their tickets and stay tuned to updates via Star Planet’s official website.
