WHAT IS YOUR WEEKLY EXERCISE ROUTINE?
I work out at least twice a week. I enjoy high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and supplement it with either a cardio session or a yoga class. I’m always up for something new!
WHAT IS YOUR FITNESS AIM?
I want to feel healthy and be able to have full mobility as I get older.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE WORKOUT?
I like a combination of cardio and weights because I’m trying to improve my stamina and create more opportunities to burn fat.
ARE YOU A GYM JUNKIE OR OUTDOOR EXERCISER?
I generally prefer working out at gyms because I’m able to track my progress in a controlled environment especially if I’m on a treadmill. However, my Fitbit has been incredibly helpful in giving me stats on my workouts even when I’m not in the gym.
HOW DO YOU GET OVER BEING TOO LAZY TO EXERCISE?
This is a struggle that I’ve been working on for the past couple of months. I basically weigh the importance of my health over my excuses. I have to decide the outcome I want and that usually gets me back into my fitness routine.
WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL BREAKFAST?
I make smoothies in the morning and put as much produce like bananas, berries, kale, spinach and apples into them so I get nutritious fibre and feel full at the same time.
WHAT IS THE ONE TREAT YOU REALLY ENJOY?
I love white chocolate but I haven’t eaten it in years.
WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU DO AFTER WAKING UP IN THE MORNING?
I usually have a tall glass of water.
HOW DO YOU RECOVER FROM A HARD WORKOUT?
I have a bad habit of doing nothing but stretching is probably the best way to recover.
WHAT’S THE ONE THING THAT EXERCISE HAS TAUGHT YOU?
It has taught me a lot about personal motivation and priorities.
DO YOU PREFER TO EXERCISE INDIVIDUALLY OR IN A GROUP?
When I’m contemplating something, I prefer working out alone. But I love group exercises because you can really feel the energy in the room and everyone’s determined to do their best.
DO YOU LISTEN TO MUSIC WHILE EXERCISING?
I love listening to podcasts or audiobooks when I work out. It’s like killing two birds with one stone.
