AS Malaysians help to curb the widespread of Covid-19 by staying at home, there are tons of family-friendly activities that you can do indoor to keep boredom at bay.

Here are 10 ideas to keep you and the kids entertained at home by Tourism Selangor.

1. Put aside your mobile devices and gaming gadgets. It's time to spread out those board games that you've kept hidden until now.

2. Keep a daily journal of what you and your family has been up to. Write, scribble or doodle away and tell your journal how your day has been, what you do and what you eat. It'll be fun to read them again, say five years from now.

3. Show off those cooking skills. Show the world a.k.a. your Instagram followers your culinary prowess. Go on, we're waiting to taste your signature burnt cheesecake.

4. Learn to do meal preps. You've seen your colleagues done this many times and you wonder where did they get all the time to prep their meals. Meal preps can save you a lot of money and your family get to have nutritious food all the time.

5. Movie nights. Make a list of what to watch at night. Gather everyone in front of the television, bring out some popcorn and tune in on the latest blockbuster.

6. Karaoke at home. Just like the Italians, you can throw your own concert or music showcase at home. Assemble the choir or the band and simply enjoy music in the comfort of your own living room.

7. Workout. Who says you can't keep fit at home. Get the heart pumping and loosen those stiff muscles by walking up and down the stairs, stretch while you watch the TV or try one of those circuit workout you see on YouTube.

8. Do something productive each day. Plan ahead. Make a to-do list. For example, try planting an edible garden or water the plants. Re-decorate your home or clear away the clutter in your wardrobe and put it aside for charity.

9. Help with your children's homework. No tuition, no problem. This is the time you sit down with your kids and help them with their math homework.
