THE head of IRDK Land group Tan Sri MP Ramasamy said being recognised at the Enterprise 50 (E50) Award 2014 recently will pave the way for better performance and achieve new milestones.
Winning the Platinum Entrepreneur Award 2014 is itself an achievement for the 20-year-
old property development outfit with Ramasamy attributing it to hardwork, commitment and vision.
“I did not know anything about it (winning the Platinum Entrepreneur Award) and was informed only last week,” he told Business Times.
The E50 gives recognition to the achievements of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). It was established in 1996. To date, a total of 1,785 companies have participated in the event.
It is organised by SME Corp Malaysia in partnership with Deloitte Malaysia, with the support of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
This year’s 50 winners were nominated from 274 SMEs.
The Platinum Award is yet another feather in the cap for IRDK, after making it to the top 10 at last year’s E50 event.
IRDK, which was formed in 1988, was awarded the Asia’s Best Entrepreneurial Spirit Award by Top 10 of Asia last year.
Ramasamy said every entrepreneur must have a vision to achieve the goals they set out for their organisation.
“If you can face the challenges, you can achieve your vision. It is not easy to face challenges. But once you decide to go ahead, you must go all out and do it as it will lead you to success. And success is important, as it will in turn become a satisfaction,” he said.
IRDK has carved a formidable presence in the industry with numerous prestigious developments in prime Klang Valley locations.
It is now in the midst of developing the IRDK Residences in Ampang and Puchong as well as the IRDK Mall at Alam Avenue.
Past projects include Puncak Bukit Utama in Bukit Antarabangsa as well as Alam Avenue and Alam Avenue 2 in section 16, Shah Alam.
