SEPANG: The independent audit committee set up by the Transport Ministry to look into safety and operational issues plaguing Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) would be made up of five members.
Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the committee would be headed by Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and Pacific (FEIAP) president Professor Datuk Dr Chuah Hean Teik.
The other members of the committee is Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) director-general Datuk Azharuddin Abd Rahman, Public Works Department (PWD) director-general Datuk Ir Annies Md Ariff, G&P Professionals Sdn Bhd chief executive office Datuk Ir Dr Gue See Sew and Petronas general manager M. Shobri Abu Bakar.
He said the independent audit committee would be responsible in reviewing the airport's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Liow added that it would also be reviewing all safety aspects in relation to the differential settlement and the parking apron and the report would be made public.
