HULU TERENGGANU: The Terengganu state government will build two language laboratories for the local people to increase the use and to master foreign languages.
State Education, Science, Technology and Special Duties committee chairman, Ghazali Taib said the laboratories will be built soon in efforts to make Terengganu as an international-level tourism state and education-growth centre.
“At the moment we are cooperating with the Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) through UniSZA’s Language Department on the matter before we proceeding to the next level.
“UniSZA is currently conducting a study regarding the implementation, design, content and after that we will make a decision on the suitable locations to build these two laboratories,” he told Bernama at the Ajil state constituency’s Aidilfitri open house here, today.
Ghazali, who is also Ajil assemblyman said among the languages that will be taught at the laboratories are English, French, Arabic, Germany, Japanese and Mandarin. – BERNAMA
