IPOH: The security forces that have put in a blanket cover at the #KitaLawan rally in Kuala Lumpur have been given a pat on their backs for keeping their 'cool', despite being provoked by rowdy characters.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said there were agent provocateurs among the 2,000-odd crowd that had taunted the police force and other security forces in hopes to incite chaos.
"My thanks goes to the men and women of the uniform who were patiently guarding from Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman up to the Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
"Thank you, thank you for keeping your cool and your professionalism," he said after attending the Perak Umno convention at the Stadium Indera Mulia here today.
The rally is allegedly organised by PKR Youth to express support for opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who is currently behind bars at the Sungai Buloh Prison in Selangor.
