"At about 8.19pm, the boy's left foot was freed.

The victim was immediately sent to Kuala Lumpur hospital for check ups," he said adding that the victim had sustained light injuries on his foot.

It is believed that the type of shoes which the victim was wearing had prompted the incident.

Earlier, City Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Azizan Ismail said the department received a call at about 7.39pm today.

"A team of 11 firemen from the KLCC and Keramat fire station were deployed to the scene," he said.
