JERANTUT: Tengku Mahkota of Pahang Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah today called for both the Federal and Pahang state governments to find a holistic solution during the three month moratorium on bauxite-mining.

"Both parties should work together to find the weaknesses in current standard operating procedures in order to solve the bauxite issues here.

"By doing so, improvements could be made not only for bauxite but also on other mineral-related operations in the future," he told reporters after chairing the Pahang Religious and Malay Customs Council meeting.

Tengku Abdullah said he also welcomed the three-month moratorium on bauxite-mining as announced by the Federal government yesterday.
