TAPAH: Three men were injured while another escaped unscathed when two lorries caught fire after being involved in an accident at KM317 of the North-South Expressway this morning.
A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said in the 8am incident, the fire damaged half of the car-carrying trailer while a 10-tonne lorry laden with vegetables was almost completely burnt.
He said the department received a distress and immediately dispatched a team to the scene.
“When they arrived, a large portion of the smaller lorry was already engulfed in flames.
"It took them about an hour to douse the fire," he said.
He said the injured victims were sent to the Tapah Hospital for treatment.
