KUCHING: Two days after leading the Barisan Nasional to a resounding victory in the Sarawak state election, Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem was back on duty today at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here.
He arrived at about 9.30am and was greeted by State Secretary Tan Sri Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani, Sarawak Human Resource Management Unit director Dr Sabariah Putit and several officers from the Chief Minister’s Office.
The Chief Minister’s Office said in a statement that a thanksgiving reception was held at Adenan’s office.
In the state election on Saturday, BN achieved a super majority by winning 72 of the 82 seats at stake.
In the last election, in 2011, BN had won 55 of the 71 seats at stake.--BERNAMA
