BANGKOK: A small explosion rocked Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong train station this afternoon, leaving two people injured, the Bangkok Post reported today.

The incident was captured on surveillance camera, the newspaper reported.

According to the report, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) officers combing the area said the blast was caused by a ‘ping-pong bomb’, which is a table tennis ball stuffed with gunpowder.

The report said the two men were sent to hospital and were in stable condition.

Bangkok police are investigating a possible political motive behind the incident.
