IPOH: A pair of fraternal twins attracted the attention of invigilators today as they joined other candidates sitting for the UPSR (Primary School Assessment Test) at Sekolah Kebangsaan Jelapang here.
Azfar Haruya Amir Shahrul and his twin sister, Malikah Asna Amir Shahrul were among 202 UPSR candidates at the school.
Azfar, who represented Perak for tennis in the junior category, said both him and his sister did not attend any tuition classes as they were taught by their father at home.
"My father is a lecturer at Institut Latihan Perindustrian and he also coached us tennis," said Azfav who is confident to score straight A's in the examination.
Earlier, State Education Department director Rozi Puteh Ismail and the school headmaster Mohd Tajuddin Jamil gave a prep talk to the pupils before they sat for their Bahasa Malaysia paper this morning.
"Do not get stressed up but try to do your best," said Rozi to the students before he shook hands with them as they entered the examination hall.
Rozi said 35,521 candidates from all types of schools would sit for UPSR at 869 centres in Perak.
He also said 10 candidates would be sitting for the examination in the hospitals with three of them at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun.
