SANTUBONG: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak arrived in Sarawak tonight to pay his last respects to the late Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem.
Accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Najib proceeded to the chief minister's official residence in Damai Jaya upon arrival at the Kuching International Airport.
Najib, his wife and his entourage, which included Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, arrived at the chief minister's official residence here at 11.50pm.
Several leaders from the Federal cabinet and state government were also present at Adenan's house.
Among them were Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim, International Trade and Industries Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, as well as Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.
Other leaders present were the two Sarawak Deputy Chief Ministers - Datuk Abang Johari Openg and Datuk Douglas Uggah Embas - together with other leaders from the state government.
Also seen at the residence were Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron, Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, and Permodalan Nasional Bhd chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar.
