If you’re looking for that natural look, here is a simple tutorial to create it, writes Nadia Badarudin
THE no make-up look is popular on the runways with the trend being on full display by Chloe, Valentino, Giambattista Valli, Marni, Isabel Marant and Vera Wang, among others, at their recent Spring/Summer 2017 shows.
The barely-there look is here to stay this year. NARS Cosmetics gives a simple, step-by-step tutorial for that trendy look.
Using a brush, apply loose powder (Eden Soft Velvet Loose Powder) to give skin a nice glow and add dimension to the face. Apply more powder on the under eye areas before applying eye make-up.
Dab Riviera The Multiple (an all-in-one multi-purpose make-up stick to highlight, sculpt and colour eyes, cheeks and lips) on the eyelids using the fingers.
Apply brown eyeshadow from NARS Survival Kit 2 on the lash line to create depth. Layer it with light purple eyeshadow for an interesting highlight. Apply the same mix of colours on under eye areas too.
Apply eyeliner (Sycorax Dual Intensity EyeShadow) for well-defined eyes.
To create a more natural look, apply Black Audacious Mascara (from NARS Survival Kit 2) by pushing the upper and lower lashes outwards using the tip of the applicator.
Apply blusher (from NARS Survival Kit 2) on cheek bones for that natural blush. Blend blusher with light purple eyeshadow for extra glow and dab the areas to highlight using The Multiple make-up stick.
Use a pencil lip liner (Morocco Lipliner Pencil) on entire lips (not to outline) to create soft, fuller lips.
Apply Mineshaft Velvet Lip Glide (a hybrid of lipstick and gloss) from the centre of the lips towards the corners. Use the fingers for a softer, au naturel finish.
