The moans, the drawn-out murmurs, the paper re-arranging and the steady pessimism. These are the characteristics of work environment protest and we all know that there is at least one or two in every workplace.
If there is one thing each of us dislike, it is those who try to portray themselves as someone else. The problem is we always fail to recognise them until it’s too late. What makes it difficult to spot pretenders is that they are people working with us.
People act fake due to a number of reasons, like jealousy, peer pressure, social pressure and hypocrisy.
There is a fine line that differentiates being a nice person and a pretender acting nice.
Only time and experience will help you differentiate between them. Pretenders are sometimes more dangerous than your enemy.
Pretenders can also fake being over-worked.
Individuals who complain of how busy they are suck vitality from their partners and do harm to the work environment.
An employee who constantly complains about his workload is often “pretending” to work, either because he is not motivated or exhausted.
Pretenders have an image to maintain. Don’t pretend to be what you are not.
When you are completely yourself, you will attract people who actually like you and life will be easy and great. Just be yourself and give your best.
One of the pretender’s biggest flaws is to be blind to his own mistakes, but will always see the mistakes of others. He also always has justification for his actions. We must always learn to be true to ourselves before we start to point out other people’s faults.
Keep things simple. Find sincere friends and stand by them and stay away from pretenders.
