KOTA KINABALU: Police arrested a man and eight women believed to be involved in prostitution during a raid at a reflexology centre at the KK Taipan commercial centre.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner M. Chandra said the operation, dubbed as Op Noda, was conducted at 11.05pm on Tuesday.

"The 45-year-old man is a worker at the centre, while the women aged between 27 and 37 are foreigners.

"Police also confiscated several items including various types of licenses, documents, massage oils and cash worth RM2,950," he said in a statement.

The case is being investigated under Section 372B of Penal Code for prostitution and 373 for controlling of prostitution premises.
