KLANG: A factory worker in Port Klang made a gruesome discovery on Thursday, when he found the naked body of a man in a shipping container.
The chilling discovery was then communicated to a driver who was set transport two containers, including the one in question, from Brunei.
Harian Metro reported that the body, which has yet to be identified, was found by the factory worker around 12.20pm.
Klang Utara district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mazelan Paijan said initial investigations found that the 45-year-old driver, who also lodged a report, had been instructed to transport two containers by his employer.
“However as soon as he arrived for inspection, he was alerted by a factory worker who saw the body inside the container at the side of its walls.
“Checks also showed that there were no injuries found on the victim’s body,” he said.
Mazelan said the container from Bandar Seri Begawan arrived on Monday and was placed on the third tier of a stack of containers.
“The container however was also scheduled to be moved yesterday. No documents were found and the body had yet to decompose,” he further said.
Mazelan urged those with missing family members to step forward and contact the police.
