KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is looking for two people including a Datuk to facilitate investigations into a cheating case involving sale of an oil palm land worth RM155 million in Sabah.

They are Datuk Peter Anthony, 46; and Michael Persius Ubu, 61.

MACC said the duo has been given 48 hours to surrender themselves and report to the commission’s office in Sabah.

It said Peter and Michael’s last known addresses were, respectively, Taman Cantek Phase 4 and Taman Rainfield, both in Kota Kinabalu.

A source from MACC said the duo had acted as middlemen for the land seller and an undisclosed agency in the deal.

"The two are believed to have swindled some of the proceeds from the land sale which caused losses to the agency," the source said.

It is learnt that the purchase of the land located in Tongod, Sabah, was made between 2015 and 2016.

MACC urged the public with information on the duo to contact its enforcement officer Mohd Tharuzi Mohd Nor at 013-9557850.
