JOHOR BARU: A series of house breaking in Kulai over the past month have been solved with the arrest of 19 suspects including a 24- year-old woman.

Kulai district police chief Superintendant Dzulkhairi Mokhtar said all the suspects were caught in a series of operations.

"About five cases were reported this month involving almost RM30,000 losses from different victims," he said.

He said the suspects caught were 15 locals and four foreigners and most of them were found positive for drugs.

"I believe this house break-ins were motivated by opportunity and need to find cash for their drugs, I hope the public can inform the police about any drug related activity in Kulai so that we may stop further incidents," he said.

He said all cases were being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for breaking into a house to commit burglary.
