KUALA LUMPUR: A minister’s son was arrested by police during a raid an entertainment outlet in Jalan Ampang here today.

The 31-year-old man was detained at 3am along with 101 other people for drug-related offences.

It is understood that the man was with his 33-year-old friend when the raid took place.

The raid was conducted by the Dang Wangi police headquarters’ Anti-Vice, Gaming and Gangsterism unit (D7).

The man was subjected to an urine test, in which he tested positive for marijuana.

The man was then taken to the Dang Wangi district police headquarters for further examination and a second urine test, a source familiar with the matter said.

Meanwhile, City deputy police chief Datuk Zainuddin Yaacob when contacted confirmed the arrest.

“The case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he told the NSTP today.
