HULU LANGAT: The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department has yet to confirm reports of a teenager who allegedly drowned at the Dusun Tua National Youth Advanced Skills Training Institute today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Mohd Sani Harul said a video of the incident is believed to have been taken inside the institute at 4pm.
"We have yet to receive information on any missing person from the public.
"We will launch a search and rescue operation once it is confirmed," he said when contacted.
Sani said the man might have been rescued as the flood waters have begun slowly receding.
The 44-second video that went viral on social media today depicted a motorcyclist being swept away by the current. His fate was unknown.
The department has deployed three boats to areas which are still flooded. Their priority is to evacuate residents at high-risk areas.
