"A total of 188 cases (people) have been vaccinated and work is underway to vaccinate other people with dog bite history," said the secretariat in a statement today.

The health teams, said the secretariat, has reached out and interviewed 21,978 villagers at 96 residents and villages in the Serian district.

Other rabies infected areas are Kampung Kerait, Kampung Paon Rimu, Kampung Paun Rimu Bakung, Kampung Remun and Kampung Lebor.
