KUALA LUMPUR: Students from SMK Pendidikan Khas Setapak received 50 units of Smart Braille, a learning aid worth of RM60,000 today.

The equipment was contributed by Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) together with the Foundation for the Blind at an event today.

TH chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim said the contribution is meant to better the quality of learning for the students.

“The product is from the United States and we are hopeful that this technology could provide opportunities for them to excel in the field of education and employment in the future,” he told reporters during the event.

Azeez also said TH and the foundation would also prepare and equip people with disabilities with training and skills to open up more opportunities for this group to be competitive in the field they are interested in the future without prejudice and discrimination.
