KULIM: A Kulim/Bandar Baharu Puteri Umno delegate was rushed to Kulim Hospital today when she experienced labour pain while attending the wing's delegates meeting.

The division's wing chief Datuk Norsabrina Mohd Noor said Siti Nur Amira Ahmad, 24, was having lunch at 1.30pm after the Puteri, Wanita and Youth wings meeting at Dewan Bandaran Kulim.

The meeting was earlier opened by Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kasim.

She said Nur Amira, from Gunung Bongsu Umno branch, is pregnant with her first child.

"When she arrived at the hall in the morning, I noticed her belly was showing signs that her body is ready to deliver,

"She said she was fine and yet to feel any pain and was upbeat about attending the meeting.

"However, while having her meal, Nur Amira suddenly complained of pain and we immediately rushed her to the hospital," Sabrina said.

It was understood that as at 6pm, Nur Amira has yet to deliver her baby.
