A member of the public who noticed thick smoke rising from the single-storey building alerted the Fire and Rescue Department.
Operation commander Mohd Yusri Yusoff said the team arrived at about 12.45am.
"When we arrived, the fire was already big. We took almost three hours to put it out," he said, adding that no one was in Tadika Liang Sun when the fire broke out.
He said the operation involved 10 fire engines and 74 firemen, including several voluntary units.
Mohd Yusri said the department is carrying out an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and estimated losses.
