MIRI: Two brothers drowned when the Perodua Kancil they were travelling in plunged into a river along Jalan Sungai Teniku, near Woodman Plantation here on Tuesday.

Miri Police deputy chief Supt Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the brothers – Gabriel Bryan Wilson, 23, and Gary Neville Wilson – were on their way to the plantation from Permyjaya ke Ladang when the mishap occurred at 1.45pm.

Gary’s body was retrieved from the river at 5pm, while Gabriel’s was recovered at 5.27pm. – Bernama
