Tourism and Culture Deputy Minister Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsud announced the introduction of the system yesterday in a bid to better manage the umrah pilgrims, beef up its regulatory management system as well as snuff out the errant operators.

In the announcement the Umrah Regulatory Management Council has made it mandatory for all the 65 travel agencies accorded with the Muasassah (umrah special license) to adopt and comply with Imams effective December 15.
