HULHUMALE (Maldives): Permata Negara will collaborate with Fiyavathi Shelter to provide Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Curriculum based on the Permata Negara curriculum and provide training to educators at the centre.
The prime minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor who is also Yayasan Permata Malaysia patron, visited Fiyavathi Shelter on Wednesday and pledged to contribute US$10,000 from the foundation and US$2,000 from the Welfare Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (BAKTI).
During her visit to the child protection centre, Rosmah, who is also Bakti president, was briefed on the centre’s programme which accommodates 94 infants, children and teenagers up to 13 years.
Meanwhile, the Maldives president’s wife, Fathimath Ibrahim also expressed her desire to improve early childhood education in the Maldives and voiced her hope to work with Permata Negara.
Rosmah had accompanied Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on a two-day official visit to the Maldives, which ended yesterday. - Bernama
