KOTA KINABALU: The people in Sabah, especially in the Kota Belud area, are advised not to worry if they see low-flying Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) fighter jets and hear explosion over the next few days.

MAF in a statement today said the reason being that a flight training, involving the Royal Malaysian Air Force, the Malaysian Army and the Royal Malaysian Navy, would be carried out from tomorrow until Sunday (March 8-11).

It said the flight training is part of the preparation for the ‘Force Readiness Demonstration’, scheduled for an inspection by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein on Sunday.

“This flight training exercise will be carried out in several areas in Sabah’s airspace within a 15km radius of Kota Belud, Sabah,” the statement said. -- BERNAMA
