KUALA LUMPUR: A young Malaysian couple is the talk of the internet after a video clip of their pre-wedding photograph session went viral on Sunday.

The handsome duo had slithered onto netizens’ radar screens not because of their fetching traditional white outfits or the enchanting coastal Kelantan setting of their photo shoot – but because they were nonchalantly posing with a two metre-long king cobra.

The posing went far beyond posturing at a safe distance from the large snake – both soon-to-be husband and wife took turns kissing the venomous reptile on its head as it assumed its signature reared-up position, ready to strike.

In one perfectly-composed photo, the squatting couple gazes lovingly into each other’s eyes with the giant reptile situated chummily between them, staring daggers at the camera.

A less conventional Malay wedding photo concept can scarcely be imagined – but the couple looked lovely, the snake appeared majestic… and nobody died.

Congratulationssssssssssss to the happy couple.
