PADAWAN: A teenager was found dead, believed to have fallen from the third floor of a shoplot building in MJC, Batu Kawa, here, last night.

The 16-year-old female allegedly conducted an online poll via her Instagram account prior to her death, at about 3pm yesterday, with the question: "Really Important, Help Me Choose D/L". It is believed D refers to "Death", while L refers to "Live", based on an explanation by her close friend.

The result from the poll was 69 per cent for D, and 31 per cent for L.

Apart from that, she had allegedly posted a status on her Facebook account: "Wanna Quit F**king Life I'm Tired".

At about 8pm, her brother who was on his way home after having dinner with their mother, found her body on the street, by the building.

It is learned that the victim had been disappointed with her stepfather who works in Singapore after he married a Vietnamese woman, which resulted in him not visiting Kuching as frequently as he used to.

Padawan district police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan when contacted confirmed the incident and said the victim's remains were sent to the Sarawak General Hospital for post-mortem.

"We received a call on the incident at about 8pm from a man who entered a nearby police station, saying an unknown female had jumped off a building and was lying down on the road, bleeding.

"A team of officers rushed to the scene and checks found no bruises or wounds on her body, only severe injuries to her head," he said.

Aidil said no criminal elements were uncovered at the scene of the incident and the case has been identified as sudden death.
