IPOH: The first flight from Ipoh to Guangzhou, China, will take off from the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport (LTSAS) here on Nov 27.
State Tourism, Arts and Culture Committee chairman, Tan Kar Hing said there would be two flights per week – Wednesday and Saturday.
“The public, especially the people of Perak, can obtain further information and the price of the ticket for the journey on the website www.scandasky.com.
“I understand there is an additional discount for Perak natives, with the identity card as proof of being born here,” he told a media conference at the Perak International Expo 2019 (PIEX 2019) here today.
In the meantime, he hoped that tourism industry players could provide attractive tourism packages by making beneficial use of the flight to Guangzhou.
“I also thank ScandaSky, headed by Tengku Faizwa Tengku Razif, for helping the Perak government to make the flight successful,” he said.
Earlier, the Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah signed a gimmick plaque for the launching of the ScandaSky website in the compound of the Indera Mulia Stadium. –BERNAMA
