IPOH: The fifth and final series of MyRumah Property Showcase 2019 saw its first collaboration with the Perak International Expo (PIEX) yesterday.
Known as MyRumah Perak-Ku 2019, the premier property showcase organised by the New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd (NSTP) and supported by the Housing and Local Government Ministry, offers a variety of housing projects within Ipoh, Meru and Ulu Kinta.
PIEX, meanwhile, is organised by the state government and serves as the platform to promote the state’s tourism products domestically and internationally.
This includes Perak’s sustainable development agenda with its affordable housing which is reputed as among the world’s best retirement destinations.
Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah Muizzuddin Shah launched the PIEX event.
Present were Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu and New Straits Times Press (NSTP) general manager advertisement sales (Agency and Corporate Advertisement) Roche Chew.
Chew said this was the first time MyRumah joined the international expo.
“This is our fourth time here since 2016 and the objective is very simple; we want to help every Malaysian own their first property.
“There are three groups that we target; B40, M40 and T20. Why T20? Because they are the investors,” he said.
The housing and property exhibition, which is open until Sunday, is being held at Stadium Indera Mulia.
The federal and state housing agencies participating are the National Housing Department and the Perak Real Estate and Housing Board, as well as regional housing developers, such as Casa Subang, Kinta Properties, Sunway Property and Total Investment.
Besides the wide range of affordable housing, visitors will also get to enjoy promotional prices, discounts and rebates offered exclusively by local and regional developers.
Visitors can gain new updates and progress within the local housing sector, including the opportunity to pose various property and housing-related questions to key industry experts.
