KUALA LUMPUR: PKR Youth has sacked its permanent chairman Muhamad Mizan Adli Mohd Nor and his deputy Mohd Ramly Ahmad.
In a letter sighted by the New Straits Times dated yesterday and signed by PKR youth national secretary Ahmad Syukri Che Ab Razak, listed out several reasons for the dismissal.
Syukri said the termination of both men from their positions was on the basis that they were above the age of 35, effectively breached age eligibility for the posts.
He also said they had received more votes compared to the number of delegates present during last year's PKR Youth National Convention, suggesting that a discrepancy had taken place during polls.
“The total number of eligible delegates during the 2018 Youth National Convention was 270.
“However, the total of votes counted for both the permanent chairman and his deputy was 400 votes and 397 votes respectively,” Syukri said in the letter.
Mizan and Ramly’s termination was made days before the PKR National Congress, which was scheduled to be held on Dec 6 to Dec 8.
