KOTA BARU: PAS deputy spiritual leader Datuk Ahmad Yakob has called on the public, especially party members, to remain calm and not panic amidst the current political situation in the country.
Ahmad who is also Kelantan Menteri Besar said he believed "the relevant quarters" would make the right decision soon, following the change in the Federal government's administration.
"We (Kelantan Pas) can't make a conclusion on the issue as it is still ongoing.
"Lets pray for the best," he added.
Earlier in his Facebook posting, Ahmad urged all Muslims to pray for the country's safety and harmony following the current political turmoil.
"We must seek God's help in this kind of situation. May our state and the country be always under His protection," he added.
Pas secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan was reported to have said all members of parliament from Pas and Barisan Nasional would be with former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at Istana Negara this evening.
