JOHOR BARU: Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Johor Baru parliamentary seat Tan Sri Shahrir Samad performed his duty as voter at Sekolah Agama Kebun Teh, here, today.

He arrived at the voting centre with wife Puan Seri Shahrizan Abdullah at 8am sharp, and was met by supervising officer Sukartini Hairan.

Shahrir, who is also FELDA chairman, is the seven-term incumbent for the Johor Baru parliamentary constituency.

This time around, he will be challenged by a fresh candidate from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Akmal Nasir.

Former Tanjung Puteri assemblyman Datuk Adam Sumiru also cast his vote with his family, at the same venue.
