Ipmuda Bhd aims to rack up RM4 million in sales by mid-2019

KUALA LUMPUR: Ipmuda Bhd aims to garner up to RM4 million in sales by mid-2019 as it takes in orders from hotels and commercial office units looking to upgrade and incorporate luxury shower heads and taps.

"We've just signed a deal with luxury sanitaryware designer Methven, and we hope to achieve RM4 million in sales in two years," said Ipmuda Bhd chief executive officer David Chua Soon Li.

“We’re taking orders from new hotels and existing hotels looking to upgrade and incorporate our luxury sanitaryware.

“We’re also in talks with property developers to place orders for Methven shower heads and taps in their high-end commercial and residential units,” he said.

Chua was speaking with reporters after signing a 2-year exclusive distributorship with New Zealand's shower and tapware maker, Methven group chief executive officer David Banfield here today.

Banfield pointed out that Methven shower heads and taps feature the latest water technology and high-efficiency levels for first-rate water flow, while also reducing negative environmental impact.

"Designed to be as effective as they are attractive, Methven showers offer an invigorating sensory experience," he said.

Ipmuda, which has been listed on Bursa Malaysia since 1993, is in the businesses of trading and distribution of building materials.

Its controlling shareholder is Tan Sri Abu Sahid Mohamed, who has a 22.03 per cent stake via his flagship Maju Holdings Sdn Bhd.
