Bernard Chandran's designs get royal nod from Kate Middleton

KUALA LUMPUR: Having his creations admired by the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton would certainly count as an unforgettable moment for Malaysian designer Datuk Seri Bernard Chandran.

The celebrated fashion designer was invited to present his creation to the wife of Prince William at the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange (CFE) event at the Buckingham Palace held in London recently.

It is understood that the 50-year-old was the only Malaysian representative in the prestigious event, which saw participations from other notable designers including Stella McCartney.

Bernard who is dubbed Malaysia’s “King of Fashion” took to Instagram to share the moments Kate stopped to marvel at his masterpiece.

“She wants to know more”, wrote the fashion designer in the caption coupled by photos of what appears to be him and Kate conversing about his designs.

Followers flooded his post with congratulatory comments and expressed how proud they were of the designer.
