KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and family made a surprise visit at Riuh, a lifestyle bazaar at APW Bangsar today.

Najib arrived about 2pm, spending about 30 minutes at the bazaar.

It was understood that their presence at the bazaar was impromptu, as someone had suggested they have lunch there.

Among the foodstuff sampled by the family were hot dogs, nachos and chocolates.

Riuh is a creative platform aimed at showcasing Malaysian arts and connect the public with creative communities. The event is organised once a month and the theme this time was #safariinthecity.

Riuh deputy communication manager Gina Subki said the organisers were thrilled that the prime minister and his family found the time to stop in for a surprise visit.

“I understand it was a family outing and visitors here were so excited about their presence,” she said.

Cocoraw employee Dayang Safwanah Abdul Mutahar said it was a pleasant surprise to see Najib and his family make an appearance at the bazaar.

“He bought salted gula Melaka and milk chocolate. He He praised the concept of making chocolate. He bought the chocolate after he came back for the second round,” she said.
